A friendship rooting in the enthusiasm for soccer

Sports journalist Ilvars Koscinkevičs noticed the story about Rūdolfs who suffered an accident, but dreams of playing soccer again one day. Step by step, a wonderful friendship has born. Moreover, a great initiative is underway – Ilvars publishes his first poetry book “DurVis”, and in collaboration with four Jānis Roze bookstores in Riga and the charity foundation BeOpen, the readers and friends are invited to support the boy’s dream.

Within two months, in the four bookstores almost 500 euros were donated, and that means additional options for rehabilitation, which Rūdolfs will need for a long time to come. Ilvars’ friends have also recognized his private initiative and added their contribution. We are grateful to Ilvars and all the visitors of the Jānis Roze bookstores who did not walk by the donation box!
