Gathering of Children with Down Syndrome

For the first time, the “Down Syndrome Latvia” association brought together families with children who have Down syndrome. Over three days in Carnikava, the experiences and activities provided the children with new insights and revelations, while giving parents energy, a sense of community, and strength for their daily lives.
The event featured a variety of activities including sports, movement therapy, agility and coordination exercises, painting and design workshops, hiking, and boat rides on the river—all packed into three days!
Children and their parents enjoyed the time spent together, expressing their emotions freely without curious or misunderstanding glances, accepting and celebrating each other as they are.
The children were happy, the parents were delighted, and the fund was pleased that the financial support provided helped in creating a fulfilling and meaningful event.
