The Canoe Sprint World Championship took place in Minsk. Promising master of sports Juris Apters represented Latvia, with support from the Baltikums Foundation.

The ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championship took place in Minsk, Belarus, in late July. Young and promising master of sports Juris Apters represented Latvia, with support from the Baltikums Foundation.

The Baltikums Charity Foundation has donated equipment to the Strazdumuiža Residential Secondary School and Training Center for the Blind totalling 5000 euros.

The end of the summer has also brought along the completion of one of the long-term programmes of the Baltikums Foundation.
